ABLE (Adult Basic & Literacy Education) Classes

Adult Basic Literacy Education (ABLE) program provides help in improving your "basic skills" such as: Reading, Math, Composition, Familiarization with and use of computer resources, GED Preparation, English as a Second Language, U.S. Citizenship Programs are available to anyone 18 years of age and older. Before beginning instruction in any of these free programs, you must participate in two days of basic orientation (as mandated by the state of Ohio).

For those who meet the eligibility requirements, and are selected to become registered participants, WIA can provide assistance in obtaining those things needed for you to pursue a marketable career. During he times listed above we provide an introduction to Services and Application Procedures. Everything is provided on a case-by-case basis. By weighing available resources and other factors, we can assist with helping to remove obstacles, such as a lack of training, unfamiliarity with necessary qualifications or resources, and not knowing how to plan career progression.
Note: In order to allow time for you to receive services, please arrive prior to 3:30 PM.

A counselor from the Vocational Rehabilitation Commission meets with each potential applicant individually in order to provide application information and explain the available services. The Vocational Rehabilitation Commission assists individuals who have a disability to obtain employment. The services are provided on an individual, case by case basis.
